This pack includes:
8 Cloud Textures (1000x1000 pixels each)
80 Planet Textures (1000x1000 pixels each)
2 Rasterized Atmospheric Templates (See my original vector version for non 1000x1000 sizes)

I needed a lot of rough spherically distorted planet textures for an upcomming project. I figured others might appreciate it and could use these as a foundation for more complex projects or as rough and simple background planets.

Terms of Use: Have fun, I'd appreciate it if you could give credit or link to my deviantart page somewhere, at the very least, send a PM my way so I can see the cool things you use the planets for.

To use the Atmospheric templates, just drag them over the planet and set the photoshop blend mode to 'Screen' (same for cloud textures). There is a wet atmosphere template and a dry atmosphere template, use the dry on desert planets and the wet on almost anything else.

How I made this: The atmospheric templates took a lot of time and tweeking using space photography as templates. The planet textures are just simple satillite imagery spherized at 100% twice.

Hey I don't think i want to use this just for the sole fact that i like to keep my stuff original, but this is great that you put this out there for many others to use and enjoy, it really is a great idea.

But i do have a question, How do you make the Atmospheric Templates? I can never get my atmospheres very good and this would be very helpful. Thanks!
